Admissions

Applications for admission to all graduate programs in the Division of Humanities are processed by the Office of Admissions in the Office of the Dean of Students in Walker 111. Faculty and staff should contact the Assistant Dean of Students for Admissions and Fellowships with questions.

Refer prospective students to http://humanities.uchicago.edu/prospective for general information about admissions and financial aid. Prospective student questions about the application process should be directed to humanitiesadmissions@uchicago.edu or 773/702-1552. Inquiries regarding specific program information should be answered by the appropriate department or committee.

In early January the Dean of Students holds a meeting to discuss and distribute the admissions and aid competition instruction booklet, as well as the admissions and aid calendar which includes divisional fellowship competition deadlines. These dates are also posted on the Faculty and Staff Calendar. Guidelines for MAPH referrals are also distributed at the meeting.
