Humanities Computing has recently begun offering blogs and wikis to faculty and staff for research, news, internal documentation, or other types of collaborative, group projects. We are also actively investigating the possibility of providing support for internet discussion forums (also known as web-based bulletin boards).
Our wiki runs on software from Atlassian Computing and currently supports over 200 users and circa twenty individual wiki "spaces." The wiki is currently being used for collaborative faculty research projects, new content for departmental websites, technical documentation, policy manuals, staff directories, and as a forum to post matters of interest to the entire Division. Please consult the Wiki FAQ for more information.
Faculty members with a permanent appointment in the Humanities Division may request a blog hosted by the Humanities Division. Blogs can also be made available to staff on a case by case basis with the endorsement of the staff member's supervisor. Our blogs run on MU Wordpress, a multi-user version of Wordpress, a customizable, easy-to-use, open-source blogging service hosted on Humanities Computing servers. Please consult the Blog FAQ for more information.
Please see this page for a current list of blogs in the Humanities Division.
