As the Director of Capital Planning and Facilities, I am responsible for managing space within the Humanities Division, both identifying and assigning space for new faculty, staff, students, and visitors, as well as focusing on long-term planning to accommodate future space needs. In addition, I work with the Dean and departments to identify capital project requests and with Facilities Services and others to implement those that are approved. In the area of facilities, I work with Mike Zmija to coordinate major moves and other events such as water shutdowns. I have worked at the University 22 years, three at the Oriental Institute, eleven at Facilities Services, and eight at the Budget Office.
