Shulamit Ran on 50 Years of Contempo

MLA Honors Steinberg for Work on Dante
Justin Steinberg highlighted the previously unexamined legal aspects of Dante’s 14th-century masterpiece in Dante and the Limits of Law, published by the University of Chicago Press. On Dec. 3, the Modern Language Association awarded the book the 22nd Howard R. Marrarro Prize. The prize will be presented at the MLA’s annual conference in Vancouver in January.
New Anthology Showcases MAPH Scholarship
In 2012 a group of students in the Master of Arts Program in the Humanities (MAPH) founded the online journal Colloquium to highlight the work and scholarship of current students, alumni, and friends of MAPH. Two years and five issues later, the editors of Colloquium have condensed that scholarship and creativity into a printed 132-page anthology.
