Paolo Cherchi Elected to Accademia dei Lincei, Highest Academic Honor in Italy
Paolo Cherchi, Professor Emeritus in the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures, has been elected “Socio Straniero” of the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei. It is the highest academic recognition bestowed in Italy.

Anne Walters Robertson Named Interim Dean of Humanities
Anne Walters Robertson, the Claire Dux Swift Distinguished Service Professor and chair of the Department of Music in the College, has been named to serve as the interim dean of the Division of the Humanities until the next dean is in place. Her appointment was effective July 1.
