Diversity & Inclusion
The Division of the Humanities commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion efforts.
Our Mission
Through the lens of Diversity & Inclusion, our mission is to foster an inclusive community where students, faculty and staff feel supported, appreciated, and welcomed.
Our Vision
Together, we will continue to evaluate divisional needs while inspiring individuals to make positive change within their own lives and the greater humanity.
What We Value
We encourage intellectual inquiry that reinforces the essence of human values and celebrates the languages, arts, music, philosophy, linguistics, and civilizations of our shared division’s community.
UChicago Provost's Office on Diversity and Inclusion
Diversity of thought and experience fortifies and strengthens our capacity to advance human knowledge and to enable transformational education experiences. Our myriad personal journeys that shape our minds and characters are enriched by interacting with others who have a different point of view or have been shaped by a very different set of experiences.
